Miss Badu... The Truth

"They play it safe. Are quick to assassinate what they don't understand. They move in packs, ingesting more and more fear with every act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups. Less guilt to swallow. They are us. This is what we have become. Afraid to respect the individual. A single person within her circumstance can move one to change, to love herself, to evolve."
-erykah badu-

Anyone who has endured the harsh criticisms of today because they choose to think outside of the box, because they'd rather lead than follow, because they took pride in being themselves respect this quote more than anyone else because they know and truly feel the meaning behind this.

When they evolve they become stronger individuals.

I definitely agree with you when you speak of persons who endure or have endured harsh criticism, being made stronger through such adversity.

I speak from personal experience. It forces one to evolve, doesn't it?
